Using the digg button on the main page doesnt actually digg the item but only sends you too the site where you have to press digg again. The best way to do it is when reading the news/article press "read me" then the digg button changes to one where it only needs one click to register as a digg.

yup thats it - i might remove the digg this story buttons and only have diggin from within the news post i dont want the digg button from their site on the front page as it slows our site down ALOT (it has to wait for digg to send all the buttons)

i removed the digg option from the front page which is the cause of the problems i belevie
