We'd like to welcome our CS: S team.
Some promising talent from the CoD scene who hope to leave their mark in CS: S.
The team consists of:
nabwhoo
c0nverse
Abstrakkt
rzE
Camz
Quoted From c0nverse It's great to be back into CS: S with a strong lineup, I’ve also been out of the game for a while and really been looking for an opportunity to get back into the game itself. Naboo was a huge influence on myself personally and a lot of the people around me, it's fantastic to be playing with him again. I'd also like to thank Imperox for giving us the opportunity to show off their name in the CS: S scene. |

Less than a week after the Pirate Bay copyright trial ended with a guilty verdict, lawyers for the defense are calling for a retrial. Swedish radio station Sveriges Radio P3 news program revealed that Judge Tomas Norström holds close ties to pro-copyright organizations and his ruling may be considered a substantial conflict of interest. If it can be proven that Norström has a legitimate bias against the Pirate Bay Four based on his affiliations, there is a possibility the original verdict could be thrown out. Sveriges Radio reported that Norström is a member of the following pro-copyright or copyright-relevant organizations that may have impacted his decision-making abilities at the trial:
* The Swedish Association of Copyright, a discussion forum. While such an affiliation may seem harmless, other members of the organization include Henrik Pontén, Monique Wadsted, and Peter Danowsky — three key representatives in the entertainment industry’s case against Pirate Bay.
* The Swedish Association for the Protection of Industrial Property, an organization devoted to implementing stronger copyright laws. Norström sits on the board.
* .SE, The Internet Infrastructure Foundation, another harmless-sounding affiliation with another questionable allegiance: Monique Wadsted is also a member of this group that oversees the .se name domain and handles domain disputes.
Peter Althin, the lawyer who represents Pirate Bay spokesperson Peter Sunde, told The Local that in setting up this case, several lay judges were thrown out due to conflicts of interest. That Norström somehow sneaked past this deletion process raised suspicion and anger in the defense team. Norström claims that his decision was not colored by his associations. “My view has been that these activities do not constitute a conflict of interest,” he told Sveriges Radio. It’s evident that Judge Norström has strong ties to the pro-copyright lobby. I think he should have stepped down from the case in the beginning. That he didn’t shows a serious perversion of justice. Last Friday, Pirate Bay was sacked with a bill for 30 million Swedish kronor (US$3.6 million) and a one-year prison sentence for the Pirate Bay Four: Fredrik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm Warg, Peter Sunde and Carl Lundström.

If there was ever a series to rival the Surreal trilogy, this is it.
Incorporated 2 tops its already highly successful predecessor in every aspect.
The intro, like the last, is innovative and draws you into the movie. But where this one truly outshines Incorporated 1 is in the content. This movie features the greatest assortment of one-shots, aces, snipes, one-deags, luck-shots, double, triple, and even quadruple kills I’ve ever seen, and most are from team vs. team scrims and matches.
If I could give content a 12, I would. The syncing is above and beyond and is set to a great soundtrack. Every aspect of the editing was picked apart and dissected until they were perfect. Most of the effects are where they should be: in the intro and outro. The transitions, which don’t get the attention they deserve, were stunning and flawlessly smooth in this movie.
So what’s holding this movie back from a perfect 10? Well... I guess there was nothing truly new introduced in this movie outside of the intro, but it’s definitely the best movie I’ve seen so far this year.

TF2mentor has been set up so that lower skilled players and clans can benefit from those who play at a higher level. The fact that there is a massive skill gap between various divisons makes this project even more worthwhile.
If you need guidance for yourself or for your clan, then this is the place to come and ask for a mentor and hopefully be taught how to win games, how to feel confident in your play style, and, most importantly, play your own class to the best of your ability!
This project is a great step in getting the TF2 community going in the right direction. It may be about increasing players skills, but at the end of the day its main goal is to make the TF2 community greater, show that everyone is united and is willing to help others shine and encourage more and more players to join the competetive scene, which is what will keep the game alive and running for a long time coming.
We are especially needing more div1+2 mentors and the mentoring scheme isn’t limited to just low clans, anyone can apply to be mentored. We are looking to expand the project in any way which would benefit the community at large, so if you have any suggestions post on the website.
To help support this all, idle in QuakeNet #tf2mentor and join the public steam group: TF2 Mentor
To get mentored or to learn more about the project, including the list of current mentors and to give suggestions on what you would like to see done, visit: http://n3clan.co.uk/tf2mentor

Season 5 starts here
Yes that’s right. This might come as a surprise to most of you. Let me explain the details.
Originally, we had planned to host the 5th cup before the summer, but such a cup generally takes up a lot of time (2 weeks per match, 7 matches with 128 teams = 14 weeks). We wouldn’t have been able to finish it properly before the summer kicked in. We’ve also noticed there is a bit of a gap league-wise in the last period before the summer, with only a bit of league action. We have decided to fill that gap with our 5th season.
The League is the ETF2L’s main event. Teams of 6 players fight each other in a division-based system, with teams grouped in division by skill level. Our last season, season 4 had 250 teams signed up. That sure made for a fun and interesting league. Will we be able to repeat that this time?
So, what can you expect from us for this season? It will in great lines be the same as the last season. There will be a few changes. The following details will be addressed:
Rule changes for season 5
Gravelpit: Change to ABBA style. This means, if team A starts attacking on the first round, then team B will start attacking on the second round.
Map Pool changes: Some redundant maps will be removed, perhaps there will be some shifts in between the primary/secondary mappool, like freight. Also, if the mapping contest ends in time, the winner will be at least added to the secondary map pool. The final map pool will be announced later.
1st/2nd mappool: Division 1 will continue with choosing only maps from the primary mappool as they requested last season. We will hold a poll for division 2 about this as well. For the other divisions, the primary/secondary mappool structure will remain as it is now.
We will introduce a new winlimit: If, during a game, the difference in points is 5 or more, that map is over. This is with scores like 5-0, 6-1, 7-2 etc. This rule is in effect on linear cp maps only (cp_badlands, cp_granary etc.). Capture the flag maps, payload maps and AvD maps (dustbowl, gravelpit) will not be affected.
Of course if you have any other ideas/suggestions for the coming season, feel free to speak your mind. We have taken in account the suggestions posted in this thread, but if you feel you have anything else to contribute, don’t hesitate to let us know
